Welcome to E-CDT in Education

Newspapers in Education is a cooperative effort of newspapers working with local schools to encourage the use of the newspaper as a tool for instruction and to promote literacy. Under the program, the Centre Daily Times sponsors newspapers for teachers to use in their classrooms. NIE teachers also receive curriculum ideas, teaching materials, special supplements, newsletters, training opportunities and more.

E-CDT in Education is:

Educational. Your E-CDT in Education subscription includes other free educational content, such as Online Lessons, Political Cartoons, and Educational Links.

Efficient. One order provides access to the Centre Daily Times seven days a week and to every E-CDT in Education program for that semester.

Easy-to-Use. Search by keywords and project/print what's applicable to your lesson plans. Once student supplements and teacher guides are put online, they're available to you through the end of the current semester.

Edgy. E-CDT reaches students where they live-in an increasingly digital world.
